HIGH AND DRY

2022

Fragments of rituals we no longer understand, but still feel.

I imagined this piece as something between a sculpture, a spear, a mask, and a fossil, an object that resists definition and invites interpretation. I named it High and Dry, echoing the haunting melancholy of the Radiohead song, a title that captures the feeling of being suspended in silence, untouched and unreachable.

This collection was born from a desire to create a vertical presence, something graphic yet primal. Almost minimal, but loaded with tension. The silhouette is sharp and solitary, like a forgotten relic standing in defiance of time.

To me, it became a totem of silence, a sentinel that doesn’t speak, but listens. A symbol of isolation, resilience, and mystery. It embodies the poetry of stillness, of something left behind yet still sacred.

Each piece is hand-sculpted in my studio before being cast in bronze. No molds are used, so every version is truly one of a kind. As always, I offer bespoke adaptations, allowing the object to find its own story within each space it inhabits.
