Sweet Thing

These pieces are the premises of a whole new episode for the Studio, a new chapter to its History. With this collection, William Guillon dives ina whole new aesthetics and reveals himself in a more intimate way. Sweet Thing refers to both a David Bowie song and one of John Carpenter’s biggest success. This series marks a turning point in the way the objects are made, but also in the nature of the production itself. Each piece is sculpted by hand by the artist before it is cast in bronze in a french foundry. It is then polished at the studio. This texture developed by William is the outcome of a special process which evokes for him the scifi movies of his childhood. The pieces are all numbered and signed, and the creative procedure is restarted from the beginning for each object, making them unique pieces. They can be used with medium
or large bulb.
