What Remains of Us Vertical

What Remains of Us Vertical Chandelier reimagines historical ornamentation through a suspended sculptural composition. Fragments inherited from the workshop of Venetian artist and restorer Fabio Da Tos are integrated into hand-sculpted bronze forms, where elaborate decorative reliefs contrast with the geometry of contemporary lighting elements. The vertical arrangement creates a striking silhouette, allowing the historical fragments to exist within a structure that feels both architectural and unexpected.

The illuminated glass tubes are covered with delicate Kozo paper fibres, using a technique developed in collaboration with Papier à Êtres. Applied directly onto the glass, the fibres create an irregular, translucent surface that diffuses the LED light, softening its intensity and giving it an almost weightless appearance. The contrast between the suspended bronze elements and the luminous tubes emphasises the different textures, proportions and visual rhythms of the composition.

Each chandelier is individually sculpted by hand in wax before being cast in bronze by a specialised French foundry. Available in a selection of patinas, from deep black to pale, spectral finishes with polished metallic highlights, the bronze reveals subtle variations in texture and relief. Designed for interiors with generous ceiling heights, the vertical chandelier introduces a strong sculptural presence while preserving the delicate relationship between ornament, material and light.
